Emergency Planning
The Joint Emergency Planning Unit (JEPU)
Local authority emergency planning in Suffolk is organised in a joint unit comprising all of the Suffolk District, Borough and County Councils.
The aim of the JEPU is to facilitate the development, management, support and validation of integrated civil preparedness and business continuity management within Suffolk Local Authorities.
Martlesham Parish Council works with the JEPU and has developed an emergency plan.
What to do in an emergency:
In the event of any local emergency, if there is ANY threat to life dial 999 and alert the emergency services. If there is no perceived threat to life, but you have information that may help the emergency services, dial 101.
Further advice on how to prepare for an emergency can be found on the Suffolk Prepared website.
